Join Archaeology Shetland for a walk into the hill at Mangaster, visiting a more remote but well preserved prehistoric house and chambered tomb at Punds Water. This walk involves walking through deep heather and up a couple of quite steep inclines. It is suitable for anyone who can manage an hour or so walk in these conditions. As ever come prepared for whatever the weather may throw at us and wear suitable footwear. There is limited parking at Mangaster so we will be meeting at the Mavis Grind lay by at 11am and ferrying walkers to the starting point in a 9 seater van. We will probably be finished before 2pm but this allows plenty of time for everyone and time to explore and talk about the site.
