A River’s Tale; Connecting People and Place Along the Inner Forth | 2017

The Inner Forth Landscape Initiative is mid-way through delivering 50 projects to connect people with their natural, built and cultural heritage.  Some of the historical projects focus on the consolidation of ruins, like the distillery and Kennetpans and the limekilns at Charlestown; others see volunteers getting involved in archaeology at sites including the historic harbour at Cambuskenneith and at Higgins Neuk.  All of these feed into the Forth Crossings project, which is investigating historic trade along the Inner Forth, once a bustling hub of activity.
